Rocktopia: 5BridgeS - 'The Thomas Tracks' - CD Review

A Rocktopia / Fireworks Magazine album review by Steven Reid: 'The Thomas Tracks' would appear to be the debut album from Dutch five piece 5bridgeS. The band's web site (http://www.5bridges.nl - from where this album can be obtained) clearly states that the ethos of the band is to build a bridge between classic 70's progressive rock (in this case by classic think Genesis with touches of Yes) and the prog of today. With a few exceptions 5bridgeS live up to that pledge, with this collection of long, bordering on the verge of epic songs being strongly influenced by Gabriel era Genesis, with vocalist Piet Roelofsen actually sounding uncannily like the long departed Genesis frontman.
