In the stairwell of the Welbeck hotel bar stands myself and Ronnie Mancuso, founding member and guitarist of Beggars & Thieves, about to embark on a completely impromptu interview. A band whose origins are firmly rooted in the heyday of the New York City hard rock/heavy metal scene in the late 1980’s, they quickly found themselves signed to Atlantic Records and released their classic, eponymously titled debut in 1989.
