Rocktopia: Billy Joel - 'Piano Man: Legacy Edition' - CD Review

A Rocktopia / Fireworks Magazine album review by Neil Daniels: Originally released in 1973, ‘Piano Man’ was Joel’s first album on Columbia Records although his debut ‘Cold Spring Harbour’ came out two years previously on the tiny label, Family Productions. Joel was distraught when his debut was released: there was an error with the mastering which caused his vocals to sound high-pitched, like a chipmunk. It sent the singer-songwriter into depression. However, ‘Piano Man’ is a fine album and has stood the test of time. Read the full review on Rocktopia.
