Rocktopia: Lemmy - 'Lemmy' - DVD Review

A Rocktopia / Fireworks Magazine DVD Review by Neil Daniels: There has been a spate of rock documentaries recently including the excellent Rush one, but rather than being a history of Lemmy's career this is more of 'a day in the life' type thing. It's fascinating stuff. The movie opens with shots of Los Angeles and then we see Lemmy playing a video game in his dingy apartment. There's even a section of the film where Lemmy takes the viewer around his two bedroom apartment; he says it's cheap and near the Rainbow, the famous rock drinking establishment on the Sunset Strip. Aside from being small and an absolute mess it's filled with Nazi and military memorabilia, books, VHS tapes and DVDs, and lots of Motorhead related stuff.
