Dyonisis - 'Intoxicated' - CD Review

A Fireworks Magazine / Rocktopia album review by Faye Coulman: Dark and complex as a fine Bordeaux, 'Intoxicated' leaves the listener drunk on a gothic cocktail of icy synths, folk and slow-burning metal. Conjuring vast, melancholic soundscapes, this little-known Sheffield act smacks of the sort of greatness for which The Gathering are renowned. However, Dyonisis' sophomore outing also reveals a fiercely original sound, boasting a quintessentially English dash of lofty folk in the form of enchanting vocal harmonies.
