The first instalment of the 'Hellbilly Deluxe' saga was the breakthrough that allowed one time White Zombie front man Rob Zombie to not only become a blood spattered musical idol for fans of B-movie horror, but to also actually become part of the genre. Since that album Rob has produced, directed and written movies in the horror style. Ironically those interests have actually delayed the release of this album by almost two years, as Zombie has been too busy in films to promote his music.
